i swear i had a proper idea when i started drawing but then this happened
“Sam, what the hell even is this?” It took some struggling with the sealed plastic packaging before Dean could unfold the black lump of nylon and spandex.
“It’s a compression vest.” Sam provided, taking it from Dean’s hands and turning it right-side out. “Try it on. I had to guess your measurements— you came out right on the sizing boarder— so I ordered a size down.”
“…how much did it cost?”
“Dean-“
Dean half glared at his brother. “How. Much.”
Sam caved, deflating a bit. “About thirty bucks.”
Nothing further was said until Dean got the binder on— save a collection of disgruntled mutters and curses when Dean’s arms got stuck over his head, and Sam had to pull the binder down for him.
“You shouldn’t have, you know.”
Sam ran the bandages that Dean had been using to bind through his fingers. “I read online that bandages are dangerous.”
“That doesn’t mean you ha-“
“So is duct tape.”
“That was one time.”
“And you nearly passed out in the library.”
Dean sighed— weather in exasperation, or to test the compression, Sam couldn’t be sure.”
“Is it comfortable?”
“It’s… tight.” Dean sucked in another deep breath, expanding his chest as much as he could, before slowly exhaling. “Thanks.”
“You’re welcome.”
